CBS Corp says that Richard Parsons, their interim chairman and also a veteran of the media industry has resigned from their board because of illness. The media house named Strauss Zelnick, another leader in the media industry, as Parsons’ replacement. It was in the month of September when CBS named Parsons as their interim chairman. They looked to reshape themselves after the resignation of their long-time chief, Les Moonves. He faced up with a number of allegations over sexual misconduct. In a statement on Sunday, Parsons said that he was already dealing with the problem of multiple myeloma when he joined the board. Then, due to certain unanticipated complications, additional new challenges have got created. Moreover, his doctors have even advised him to cut back on his commitments to ensure recovery.
The successor of Richard Parsons, Zelnick right now serves as CEO and Chairman of interactive entertainment company named Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. Parsons was known for bringing forth a steady hand to quite a number of complex business deals. The merger between AOL and Time Warner was one of them. As per The New York Times, Parsons was already on the lookout for a new Chief Executive at CBS.

In addition to all these, he even served as an interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers back in the year 2014.
